Refund Policy

Royal Blu Ink Notary is committed to providing professional, reliable, and courteous notarial services. This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be available for services provided.
1. General Policy
Because notary services involve reserved appointment times, travel, and professional services performed at the time of the appointment, refunds are limited as outlined below.
2. Notarial Service Fees
Once a notarial act has been lawfully completed, fees for the notarization are non-refundable.
A notarization is considered complete when the notary has properly verified the signer's identity, completed the required notarial act, and applied the official signature and seal in accordance with Washington State law.
3. Travel Fees
Travel fees compensate the notary for time, mileage, and travel expenses associated with mobile appointments.
Travel fees are generally non-refundable once the notary has begun traveling to the appointment location, even if:

The notarization cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond the notary's control.

The signer lacks acceptable identification.

The document is incomplete.

The signer refuses to sign.

The signer is unwilling or unable to meet legal requirements.

The appointment is canceled after travel has begun.
4. Appointment Cancellations
If you cancel your appointment before the notary begins traveling, you may be eligible for a full refund of any prepaid travel or service fees, less any applicable non-refundable processing fees.
If you cancel after travel has begun, travel fees will not be refunded.
5. Incomplete or Unsuccessful Appointments
No refund will be provided if the notarization cannot be completed because:

Acceptable identification is not presented.

The signer is not personally present when required.

The signer appears unwilling, under duress, or unable to understand the document.

The document is incomplete or contains blank spaces that prevent notarization.

The requested notarization would violate Washington law.

Fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.
6. Errors Made by Royal Blu Ink Notary
If an error is made by Royal Blu Ink Notary during the notarization, we will make reasonable efforts to correct the error at no additional charge, when legally permitted.
If the error cannot be corrected, an appropriate refund may be issued at our discretion.
7. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
If you believe you were charged incorrectly or more than once, please contact us within seven (7) business days.
Verified billing errors will be corrected promptly, and any applicable refund will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.
8. Processing Refunds
Approved refunds are generally processed within 5–10 business days. The time required for funds to appear in your account may vary depending on your financial institution or payment provider.
9. Payment Processing Fees
Any non-refundable fees charged by third-party payment processors may be deducted from your refund where permitted by law and disclosed at the time of payment.
